CEO & HEAD OF ANALYTICS
Theo has been involved in the gambling industry for over 20 years as a quantitative risk analyst, consultant, entrepreneur and professional gambler. He has also spent over 10 years as an Advanced Analytics consultant for high profile clients such as Microsoft, BP and the UK government. As our CEO, Theo is responsible for Gainr’s overall strategy, direction and growth.
Dr Stylianos Kampakis
Head of Web 3.0
Stylianos is a data scientist and Tokenomics expert with a long career in the space of AI, machine learning and statistics. He is also a published author on the topic of Tokenomics, and has also published and presented his work in top ranked journals and conferences. As our Head of Web 3.0, Stylianos is responsible for designing Gainr’s token and associated smart contracts.
Professor Joemon Jose
Head of ACADEMIC Research
Joemon is a professor of computing with a h-index of 45 and has 7699 citations with over 290 publications in prestigious journals. An active researcher with over 25 years of experience, he has supervised over 40 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers. As our Head of Research, Joemon is responsible for providing Gainr with the latest Deep Learning research from academia.
Janis Varenbergs
Head of Trading
Janis is a gambling professional with multiple years of international experience in the sports betting business. As our Head of Trading, Janis is responsible for managing Gainr’s trading desk and running Gainr’s Partner Programme.
Yuxiao Liu
Head of Finance
Xiao graduated from The University of Glasgow with a Masters in International Accounting and Financial Management. Then she joined BDO China as a senior auditor. As our Head of Finance, Xiao is responsible for financial reporting and planning.
Mark McGuinness
Head of Marketing
Mark has over two decades of marketing experience in eSports, blockchain, sports betting, online gaming and social gaming. As our Head of Marketing, Mark is responsible for finding product-market fits for Gainr Research and promoting the Gainr Blockchain token.
Dr Reza Doobary
Head of Applied Research
Reza is a senior data scientist with a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Durham. As our Head of Applied Research, Reza is responsible for implementing the research produced from Gainr’s academic partners.
Greg Rooker
Head of Engineering
Greg has over two decades of software development experience, most recently as an Azure Certified applications developer and architect. As our Head of Engineering, Greg is responsible for Gainr’s data pipelines, APIs, order management systems and more!
Sam Man

Sam is an experienced Information Technology manager with a demonstrated history of working in the fast paced Hong Kong Financial Services Industry. As our IT Manager, Sam is responsible for Gainr’s trade floor support and network & cloud infrastructure.
